Mupitas
Generic Name: Mupirocin
Therapeutic Class: Topical Antibiotic
Presentation
Description
Mupitas is a novel topical broad spectrum antibiotic for the treatment bacterial skin infections. Mupitas ointment contains Mupirocin 2% weight/weight. Mupirocin is a topical antibacterial agent, active against those organisms responsible for the majority of skin infections, e.g. Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin-resistant strains, other staphylococci and streptococci. It is also active against Gram-negative pathogens, such as Escherichia coli and Heamophilus influenza.
